Earth based – Soul twins.  From Japan

Seika wrote an email to Mami 11 years ago and now they are best friends.

Mami received that email at her own nail salon in some rented space within her fathers Panasonic shop on the Island of Shikoku, a rural part of Japan known for its rugged beauty with small towns and cities. Her home province of Ehime is famous for mandarin oranges. She comes from an entrepreneurial family tree. Her grandmother ran a Sushi Shop and her father runs an Electronics Store. Her family includes a traditional Japanese calligraphy artist, kimono maker and Mami holds a Sen NoriKu Ura SenKe license (master of tea ceremony.) You’d think she might be a quiet shy Japanese girl but as an only child she was the outgoing explorer of the family spreading her smiles around the world. As a kid she was a bit of a tom boy often thinking outside the box and trying new things like her favourites traveling, shoes, and sports cars.
Her favourite animals are horses, she loves eating Japanese food, and can’t put down anything pink. Country music is always on her playlist and swimming is her go to activity while she daydreams of her ideal vacation in a warm place with white sand and blue ocean waters.

Seika wrote her email from Japan’s biggest and busiest city: Tokyo. She had finished a diploma in graphic design to learn the elements, or principles, of visual and editorial design. This of course piqued Mami’s interest to receive a message from the country’s culture and fashion capital. Seika was a city girl. Her family tree included growing up with an acute awareness of animals wellbeing since her family owned veterinary hospital on one side and a thriving wholesale distribution business on the other. While Tokyo is a stylish place, Seika spent much of her childhood refusing fashion brands and preferred to keep her style simple. Her parents joke she spent much more of her younger years naked than clothed. Her parents considered her a bit of a trouble maker and sent her to Nanaimo, BC when she was 15 to complete high school. There she discovered a passion for nature and wild animals that calmed and comforted her. She now enjoys spending time alone in her own thoughts and imagination. She loves traveling to learn and appreciate about different cultures. Her favourite animals are dogs, and she might even be only slightly mean to one if it was in her way to a bowl of Japanese white rice. That would be a navy blue coloured bowl by the way and her playlists mostly contain instrumentals without words. She’d be playing that on a good hike deep in a costal mountain forest ideally on her way to an emerald green lake to go skinny dipping.
